I’ve spent years building trust and cooperation with both Eagle Mountain and Utah County officials, and today, my track record speaks for itself. I’ve worked tirelessly to pursue projects and commonsense policies that serve our community’s needs.

Economic Opportunities

I’ve helped cultivate an extraordinary economic upswing by negotiating and closing contracts with three Fortune 100 companies, namely Facebook, Tyson, and Google.

I helped launch the Eagle Mountain Chamber of Commerce and I continue to orchestrate an influx of commercial and retail enterprises.

Additionally, I led the initiative to institute a Technology and Industrial Zone, strategically designed to attract conscious, job-creating companies to Eagle Mountain.

Open Space Preservation

With a passion for preserving Utah’s beautiful open space, I have always prioritized maintaining areas for recreation and wildlife, including mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, and OHV trails. I sponsored a Ridgeline Ordinance that prevents construction on our hilltops, and I’ve pursued every effort to protect deer migration routes and historical sites.

Infrastructure

I’m proud to say that Eagle Mountain has bolstered infrastructure with nearly $150 million worth of investments in roads, water, sewer, and power. I’ve worked with the City Council to ensure stability during a volatile period that included COVID-19, rapid growth, inflation, and a drought. In 2015, I helped facilitate negotiations for the sale of our natural gas and electric power utilities for more than $34 million.

Sound Fiscal Policy

Eagle Mountain is currently in the best financial health in its history with residents enjoying high home values and low property tax rates. Additionally, the City has reduced its debt by $26 million. Before I was elected to the City Council, Pony Express events cost the City approximately $250,000, but within my first year, I helped reduce these costs by nearly 90 percent.

I also fought for the completion of Cory Wride Memorial Park, a beautiful addition to Eagle Mountain that offers recreation options for everyone. I worked with stakeholders to ensure the project was financed by cash reserves, underscoring my dedication to sound fiscal policy.

Emergency Preparedness

To ensure Eagle Mountain is prepared for emergencies, I identified and rectified the issue of a water delivery system that is completely reliant on electric pumps. I realized that if we lost power during a fire, earthquake, severe storm, or power grid failure, we could not supply water to homes, businesses, or even the fire department. Though such incidents are rare, a single occurrence could cause suffering. For this reason, I advocated for the purchase of generators to power water pumps in the event of an emergency.
